Hello everyone! Today is the launch of our friend and fellow mixed media artist Kerin Gale’s Inspired Remnants, Curious Dreams online book tour and blog hop. Kerin wrote a fabulous book teaching and illustrating all the very cool things one can do with epoxy clay. This 2 part epoxy clay air dries completely rock hard. No need for a kiln (like ceramics) or a toaster oven ( like polymer clay). But just like our amazing epoxy ICE Resin, epoxy clay is a revolutionary art material that can morph into just about anything when put into the hands of talented artists.

As I said, the book tour/blog hop begins today on Kerin’s blog, Remnants of Olde. If you are coming to us first, be sure to hop on over to Kerin’s site to get the whole skinny on this event. It’s her baby, and she’s worked really, really hard to make this a fun, interactive event with lots and lots of prizes. Did I mention prizes? Over 108 prizes for the blog hop, and another seven grand prizes at the end.

When Kerin sent us an invite, we jumped at the chance to be supportive and spread the word. Also, because Kerin is a fan of ICE Resin, and uses it in a couple of projects in her book, it was a no brainer to participate. We’ve donated samples of our 1-oz crafters size of ICE Resin, along with a mixed metal bezel to each of the participating blogs, as well as a nice grand prize giveway too.

Here’s a sampling of the prize giveaways on every site: One Aves Power Pack (selection of their most popular formulas)  from http://AvesStudio.com, Fluid Chalks Online Workshop by Lesley Venable on her The Art Of Altering site, two Digital Collage Sheets by Alicia Caudle of Altered Bits, sample pack of Silputty 40 silicone putty mold mix from Silpak.

Our day to show you something fun that uses ICE Resin and FixIt Sculpt by Aves Studios is May 7th. We’ll be doing a little tutorial on making your own clay bezel and finishing it off with some bling and ICE. We’ll add a few resin clay beads, a little fiber and some wirework for a completed mixed-media necklace. Here’s a sneak peek of the focal bezel.

This is going to be fun. Get your mouse fingers ready to hop your way to inspiration to all these fabulous blogs:
