Ask the Ice Queen Tuesday

Dear ICE Queen,

I know ICE Resin® is famous for being crystal clear and bubble free, but I would like to have bubbles in my jewelry.  I’m casting some champagne glass charms and would like to know if there is a way to get the bubbles to stay in the resin?

Bubbly Betty

What a fun project and I can understand why you would want bubbles in those great charms.    Yes, you can intentionally create bubbles in your resin if you want.

To do this, you would place  your Part A resin in the refrigerator for about 15 mins.  This will make it cold and be thicker.  Then carefully measure both Part A and B as you normally would for your resin project, and stir really fast and quick.  Treat it as if you were whipping egg whites, and you’ll find your resin will be filled with bubbles!  Some will dissappate but many will stay trapped in the resin and your champagne glasses will be filled with resin bubbly!

Happy Creating!
