A celebration of femininity and delicate beauty to grace your Mother’s Day presents! A modern take on the long necklace that includes some sassy leather alongside natural stones.
Step 1: Gather your supplies, I wanted a floral element so I’m using a Relics and Artifacts piece as my focal, Ice Resin has a way to shine alongside any element, natural beads like quartz or amazonite look so pretty together. And the new German Glass Glitter Shards give pizzaz and shine so easily!
Step 2: : The ICE Resin enamels are great on metal and resin as well, just apply the enamel medium to where you want the enamels to accent and melt.
Step 3: Mix ICE Resin® according to instructions, and add the smallest drop of Ice Resin Rose Quartz to the mix if you’re going for pastel and bolder if you’re going for a stronger palette. I already prepared the brightest pink with it and for this I was going for a subtle effect. The way I go about it is I put the tint on my stirrer instead of directly on the resin mix, it’s better to add color as you need than trying to remove! Now I’ve made it hard on myself and I may end doing more than one necklace!
Step 4: For the leather part, I wanted a triple strand, I confess I love the new leather, it feels great on the skin and looks so beautiful! Measure the length you want and cut the tips on a bias if you plan on adding 2 or more strands, like I did. Apply a small amount of the leather adhesive and insert on your bead cap, I’m using a tassel finding.
Step 5: Prepare your Resin and fill the Milan bezels with your choice of German Glass Glitter Shards, tough right! So many beautiful choices and they all sparkle beautifully! I’m using Wintergreen since it matches my beads and contrasts nicely with my flower.
Step 6: Time to put it up all together, wire your beads and attach them to the Milan bezels and then attach your leather cording, split the beads in half and add your focal
So how many mom’s will you make presents for this year? I got excited and tried all the new colors, tinted all my flowers and now I’m ready to give away some pretty presents!
