  • If you are looking for a fast, easy, beautiful way to make some Christmas ornaments or gift toppers, this project is for you. Essentially all you need is your ICE Resin, Crystal Opals, and a snowflake mold (plus your stir sticks, cups, etc). I cannot believe how fast and easy these were or how gorgeous they were when they popped out of the mold. As always, the hardest part is waiting for the resin to cure, but this time of year you have plenty going on so mix your resin, pour it in the mold, go bake some cookies and come back later to find a beautiful sparkling snowflake for your tree or to give to someone else.

    “

Step 1: Mix ICE Resin® according to instructions. Add some Crystal Opals, mix thoroughly and allow the indicated wait time.

    “

Step 2: Pour a little ICE Resin® into the snowflake mold. Allow resin to cure.

    “

Step 3: Pop snowflake out of the mold and drill a hole in it.

    “

Step 4: Add a bit of wire to hang it.

Now it is ready for your tree. Silicone molds can be found online or check your local crafts store. If you are lucky enough to find an ice cube mold in a design you like, you can create multiples of the design at once.
