Metalsmithing is a goal of mine. I can’t wait to learn how to use a torch and whack something with a hammer. But until that day arrives, I have to work with the skills I have. But I still love the look metal workers get with setting stones. So, I decided to improvise.
Step 1: Mix ICE Resin® according to instructions, allow the indicated wait time. Then add a couple of drops of ICE Resin Pacific Ocean Luster. Mix gently.
Step 2: Pour resin in to the ICE Resin Industrial Jewelry Mold. Allow to dry overnight.
Step 3: The next day, pop triangle from mold. Lay triangle in corresponding ICE Resin Industrial Bezel. Next, measure the ICE Resin Jewelry Wires inside the bezel and beside the triangle. Snip off ball from one end and then snip wire to desired length.
Step 4: Mix ICE Resin® according to instructions. Mix a small batch of ICE Resin and apply a thin layer to the back of the triangle. Then lay triangle in bezel and place wires on the sides and the desired locations. Press all pieces to fit snug inside of bezel. Allow to cure for three days. After all of the resin is cured, you can bend wires down making your “prongs.”
Step 5: Add a chain and your turquoise blue masterpiece is complete.
